No longer am I a student, but am a 'mature' adult, home-owner, wife and mother to the most adorable little trouble-maker, Liam. Those are the wonderful things in my life. Cue the 'awwww'.I am a full-time employee - WAIT - scratch that. I was a full-time employee of a graphics/packaging company doing copy editing and project management for the past three years until I succumbed to what several million other Americans have experienced... the dreaded layoff! This has been my first week of some much-needed soul searching. I promise I've been job-searching too! Six applications so far with two call-backs. I had my first real interview today... by phone, but hey, it counts!
I thought I had my life together and I thought I knew answers to some of the questions that have arisen from being a mom, wife and going through this whole unemployment mess. I'm starting to realize now that I definitely don't have the answers, but that's okay. I am willing to learn and besides, my mom only lives a mile away.
After all, MY mom should know the answers!
